We will appreciate any help. Thank you!
Using the media manager
The media manager helps us upload and manage multimedia files such as our photos, images, flash, sound, and other files on the server of your site that you wish to make available to visitors.
Before we do this, it is recommended that you do your photo or image editing before uploading so that they are smaller in file size. One reason is for speed and another is your server space.
It is always a good idea to think about the layout that your pages will have before uploading photos or images.
Generally, photos are changed to some form of standardized sizes, such as (height x width in pixels) with a photo editing program such as Paint Shop Pro © or Adobe Photo Shop © or some other program.
After you have changed your image size, you can save them using an organized method,
for example:
flowers.jpg to flowers-2008-sm.jpg
This layout uses a name, the year, and sm for small.
ATTENTION: It is always recommended and preferable to use a latin based character set and the hyphen or underline for file names due to problems that can arise at the hosting servers and on different operating systems.
When saving images with your photo editor, one more reason to use SAVE AS with another file name is to keep the original image in case you make a mistake.
If your image editing program can save your image as a jpg that is preferable because it will help you reduce the file size and the picture quality, saving from 30 to 40% in disk space and gaining in display speed when the page is viewed by visitors.
The final images that you will upload to your server will be those that you changed, not the originals.
Just as the above mentions only images, we can also apply this similar to other multimedia files.
