eForum is a free forum component for Elxis CMS developed by Ioannis Sannos (Is Open Source).
You will find all articles of this manual inside the Eforum category.

When we login to the back end as administrators, clicking on Components -> eForum appears the Administration Control Panel by which we can set and regulate everything on eForum.

Administration on eForum
Has to do with 4 basic elements:
1. Configuration
2. Categories
3. Boards
4. Member groups
For Categories, Boards and Member Groups have been written separated articles, so follow the links to read about. Following we will talk about Configuration.
Configuration
Clicking on Configuration button are appearing 4 tabs
1. General settings
2. Layout
3. Features
4. Hooks
For Hooks has been written separated article, so follow the link to read about. See also Mobile Hook
General settings
On General settings tab we must check and regulate the following parameters:
- Set eForum offline or online
- To give a Title for eForum
- To type a Description about
- To type Keywords
- To select if forum members will be displayed by their Names or Usernames
- To select the maximum Size of attachment file. Size varies within 50 KB and 1000 KB with step of 50 KB
- To select if will include the message on new Personal Message notification e-mail
- To select if will include the message on Reply notification e-mail
- To select if during the deletion of an eForum Member should be deleted also Elxis user (Pay attention here)
- To select if will show copyright at the end of pages
Layout
On Layout tab we must check and regulate the following parameters:
- To select a template (By default is selected blue, but you can create new templates and load them at folder com_eforum/template/)
- To select number of recent Posts to be displayed at the front end (The parameter value varies within 0 and 30. Selecting 0 you can disable it).
- To select number of Topics per page to be displayed (The parameter value varies within 5 and 30)
- To select number of Posts per page to be displayed (The parameter value varies within 5 and 30)
- To select where will be displayed Pagination links (Values: Top + Bottom, Top, Bottom)
- To select if and where Announcements will be displayed (Values: No, All pages top, Alla pages bottom, Frontpage top, Frontpage bottom, Inner pages top, Inner pages bottom)
