IOS Eshop allows you to mark any product as a special offer. More over you can set the offer expiration date after which the product will automatically stop being displayed as a special offer. Normally an under-offer product comes with a discount. On IOS Eshop general configuration you have the option to set if you wish the discount to be reset after an offer has expired. This is done automatically by IOS Eshop using an internal CRON system, you don't have to manually check and un-check special offer check-boxes or change discount prices. Just set once and forget!
For the under-offer products IOS Eshop will display a human friendly message concerning the number of days till the offer expiration date. If the offer expires in more than 6 months no message will be displayed. If the offer expires in 10 days or than, it will also display a Hurry up! message in order for the customer to buy the products before the offer expires.
How do I set a product as a special offer?
To set a product as a special offer go to the product edit page on IOS Eshop administration, locate the Special offer option and click YES on the radio box.
Exactly bellow you can set the offer expiration date. Click on the calendar icon to pick any date you wish. The 2060-01-01 date is translated as the product never expires.
