Banners and Advertisements
Description
The following information describes how to add client banners to your Elxis website.
A banner is a graphic advertisement that is placed position in a template position on the website.
The advertisement can be a graphic image or a flash image or even a video clip and is placed according to the size and layout of the image. Horizontal images are normally placed on the left or right areas of the template, whereas vertical images are placed in the central area.
Banner advertisements can be placed on any page of your Elxis website through the Adminstration of the Module and by the Page selection through the Module -> Pages/Items tab.
Template Positions
To place an advertisement, there must be a position available where the advertisement will be displayed. The Elxis CMS provides a default position known as banner but other available positions such as left or right can also be used.
Template positions are assigned in two places, the index.php file of the template, and through the menu
Site -> Template Manager -> Module Positions
Here is a view of the template positions as a mask over the web page.
