Introduction

Appendix is a component for Elxis CMS that generates and displays alphanumeric indices of content items, eblog posts, eshop products and eforum topics. When an Alpha Index letter (or digit) is clicked then component Appendix will show you all the content items, starting from this letter (or digit) for the selected section. Appendix alternatively can show you the categories starting from that letter or even (version 1.2+) eblog posts, eshop products and eforum topics starting from that letter. The component initially built as a commercial extension and afterwards (version 1.1) released for free under the Creative Commons 3.0 Share Alike license.

Set up

A detailed how-to guide is included in the component and is available in all component's administration pages by clicking on the help icon. With Appendix you can display indices for:

Content

Create alphanumeric indices for content items or content categories.
Content Items Index mode: After clicking on an Alpha Index letter, component will display you the content items from the selected section which titles start from this letter.
Categories Index mode: After clicking on an Alpha Index letter, component will display you all the section categories which titles start from this letter. Clicking again on a category will display you all the category's content items ordered by title.

eBlog posts

You can create different appendices for each eBlog. After clicking on an Alpha Index letter, component will display you the content items from the selected eBlog which titles start from this letter.

eShop products

This option requires component IOS Eshop to be installed. After clicking on an Alpha Index letter, component will display you the eshop products which titles start from this letter (IOS Dialects technology is supported).

eForum topics

This option requires component eForum to be installed. After clicking on an Alpha Index letter, component will display you the eForum topics which titles start from this letter.
